I am a board certified Public Health and Preventive Medicine specialist. I deeply believe that using supportive medical, psychological, social, and spiritual modalities is the cornerstone to treating those struggling and suffering from opioid use dependence and addiction. I am passionate about applying evidence-based approaches to addressing the opioid use disorder epidemic and its co-occurring medical and psychiatric co-morbidities from a public health and clinical perspective. I attended Dartmouth College as a Psychology major. I completed medical school at the Geisel (Dr. Sues) School of Medicine at Dartmouth in New Hampshire. I did my residency in Public Health and Preventive Medicine and a Masters in Community Medicine at the Ichan School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC. I have a strong interest in the bio-pyscho-social, environmental, and spiritual aspects of substance abuse. I have training in motivational interviewing and health coaching. I am excited to be part of the HALO team of substance abuse counselors, co-occurring therapists, mental health providers, recovery coaches and administrative support staff. To complement my journey as a physician, I love spending time in rivers, lakes, oceans, and mountains with my twin girls Hannah and Rebecca and my partner Lisa. We have 2 twin cats, Mango and Dimsum.
