According to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations 49 CFR Part 40, an employee in violation of the DOT regulations for drug or alcohol testing is required to complete the DOT Return to Duty Process with a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP).
SAP professionals are qualified under the current specific, strict U.S. DOT regulation requirements.
Elena VanZandt is an approved provider of DOT/SAP Services for employers and employees who are required to meet Department of Transportation alcohol and drug regulations. She has been working in the addictions and mental health counseling field since 2007.
Elena is licensed in the State of New Hampshire, (MLADC #0608) and Vermont (151.0134062). She also provides supervision services supervising other licensure candidates.
If you drive a motor vehicle, you will need to register at FMCSA Commercial Driver’s License Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse (https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov) and then send a request to “Elena VanZandt” to be your SAP. The SAP consultation fee is $550.
Credit cards are accepted, but there is an additional service fee to cover the cost of processing. This includes the initial evaluation, referral, tracking for the initial referral, and the follow-up evaluation.
